Hello, my name is Deputy Chris Brown. I started my law enforcement career in 1987 with the Danville Police Dept. in Danville Va.. I was a patrol officer and worked with the patrol and traffic divisions. In Jan. of 1993, I left the Danville Police Dept. and joined the Pittsylvania County Sheriffs Office as a deputy. I joined the DARE family in 1994 as an instructor and taught until 1999 when I stepped down and rejoined in 2002 and have been here since.
I was elected to the Va. DARE Association as Sgt. of arms in 2004 and served two years and I have also served as President and Vice President for two seperate terms and am currently serving as Past President. I enjoy the DARE program and feel that we are educating the future leaders of our great state of Virginia. The youth that we have contact with need to have the proper tools to succeed in today's society. It is a privilege to teach our youth and to lead a great program in Virginia.
